….and you are going to be so incredibly informed.

….and you are going to be so incredibly informed.

The good people of the internet have been asking “hey, Speech Uncensored, what will be on your podcast?” And I am here to tell you that so.much.goodness. is headed your way. I was just corresponding with an SLP about our upcoming recording session and had to admit that I was getting butterflies of excitement in anticipation of the incredible roster of SLPs that I have lined up to record incredible bites of knowledge for your listening pleasure.

Here’s a little taste:

  • Jenn speaks truth and wisdom about finding her feet in the trach & vent population while working at an LTAC (long term acute care hospital). Our discussion covers SO MUCH ground that I had to break it into two episodes!

  • Sydney wants to get real about in-line speaking valve placement for ventilation patients. What’s our role? Who is involved? What should you know before taking the plunge? She’s going to answer all your questions, and quite frankly, a few you didn’t know you had.

  • Jenn is BACK gives us the low-down making a career out of PRNing (for the past 11 years to boot), and how that works for her family of 4.

  • Lauren wishes to dish about inpatient rehab. It may seem like a structured environment, but Lauren knows better. She’ll discuss some of the more unique aspects of inpatient life such as FIM scores, team meetings, collaborating w/ OT, PT, neuropsych, rehab doctors (and residents), and so.so.so.so.so much more.

  • And I think you see a pattern here…. Sydney has more to say….and she’s back to enlighten inquiring minds about cough assist with the trach and vent dependent population. Did you even know that was a thing? I didn’t until just recently. Sydney is going to walk us through the ins and outs of manual cough assist and increase my knowledge base in this area by 100.

I hope you’re as excited as I am about this podcast. It’s a lot of work, but I believe the pay-off in knowledge gained and shared is well worth it.

Tell me in the comments which topic you’re most excited to hear about.
