Kelly is doctoral candidate at the University of Kansas studying adult neurologic speech and language disorders with a secondary area of study in gerontology. Clinically, she is a practicing speech–language pathologist working with populations across the lifespan. She has worked as a PRN speech-language pathologist at several skilled nursing facilities, currently serving in a traditional “as- needed” role in one SNF and as the primary SLP with PRN status at another SNF.
